Yep, you see correctly! Gold!

 

I have to admit, golden is not exactly a colour I work with often, I'm more of.. an antique bronze type of fan.

Sometimes you just have to make a change tho. And here it is!

I used my 'leftover' golden silk taffeta from 19th century project. I say 'leftover', but I think I have like 8yards of it left!

Along with it, pretty hand dyed wedding lace, silk ribbons and soft tulle. Some golden decorations too (metal beads and a butterfly brooch).
